Click image to download! After what seemed to be a very quick summer, we are delighted to be heading back into the first term of the new school year 2021/2022 !! After some down time, we set about developing some new programs for schools.
Our TY workshops were very popular last year and we are delighted to continue to work with TY Coordinators & schools nationwide to deliver our single and multiple day workshops. Along with our single day workshops for Primary school, which again was a great success last year, we have put a new program together call 'Drums At School'. Drums at school is run over 4 weeks, 1 day per week; Every class gets to participate in what will be a hugely educational and fun experience. From learning & playing basic rhythms and beats using over 30 drums & percussions instruments on week 1, to learning about body percussion and how you can make beats and create unique sounds individually and in a group, week 2. In week 3 & 4 , we are delighted to bring a new recycling element to our school workshops. GO GREEN!! Recycled-Beats is an opportunity for all the pupils to get involved in making and using their own drums / percussion instruments using recycled materials from around the house. Bucket Drumming is quite new in Ireland but is very popular in parts of Europe & the USA. Yes, all the pupils require is a bucket from home (recycle & repurpose if possible) They will learn how to use buckets as a drum kit and bring out their rock n roll!! College, university and corporate / staff day team building workshops will also continue for 2021/2022 Any questions, just get in touch! Thanks for reading and we hope to see you this year! 2020-2021 was different, for lots of reasons....from covid lockdowns that saw the majority of schools & business close their doors and the music stopped...... :-(
Then, brighter days returned with the introduction of vaccines, schools/businesses slowly reopened and we could meet in groups again, albeit socially distanced. SCHOOL WORKSHOPS (PRIMARY & SECONDARY) We are so grateful that we got to visit many schools countrywide this school term. The last number of months in particular have been so busy with traveling from Tipperary to Cavan, Dublin, Wexford, Cork, Offaly and everywhere in between. TY's (Transition Students) were so much fun to work with. We introduced them to drumming and percussion, the instruments, dynamics, play and respond, the rumble, body percussion, body beats and so much fun was had. Likewise, primary school children countrywide engaged in learning all about drumming & percussion. Drumming offers children the opportunity to build confidence in playing music, understanding rhythms, rudiments, patterns, dynamics and so much more. It is a gateway to greater things. Thank you to all the schools who asked us to facilitate workshops across Ireland this year. We had so much fun doing what we love and sharing our knowledge with all the students. BUSINESS / CORPORATE WORKSHOPS Businesses in Ireland, especially now after long periods of remote working, want to bring their teams together. To find fun ways of team building, stress relief, enhancing staff wellbeing and all the other benefits that comes with drumming & percussion. We really enjoy getting these groups interacting and working in TEAMs and have fun doing it! So onwards towards the summer months where will be hosting some public workshops. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages for more information. We are also hosing an online workshops on June 12th as part of Criuinniu na nOg, 202. This workshop is FREE for all children.
